In this lesson, you will learn how to import a 3D model (.STL file) from a website such as Thingiverse directly into Tinkercad.
One example of why this might be useful is if you wanted to design a phone case. Sure, you can simply measure a phone and design an excellent case based on those measurements. You could also import a 3D model of the phone itself and then use that model to make sure your case fits correctly. It also helps align the holes in the case withe the camera, side buttons, and charging port.
